  The books that I read in my college and school days offered knowledge. We could dive deep into the subject of matter. No shortcuts ever. Even the maths and physics calculations, formulations were too long yet they followed systematic routes. Nowadays while trying to acquire an ocean of information through internet, we face the tiny streams of shortcuts. The easy, quick pointers, tempting words and pictures, glamorous tips and magical formulas that are addictive. Good old books have lost their legitimate space. Making genuine efforts to revive the time that our books deserve is the call for the day. Let the knowledge seep in slowly and steadily through the folds of paper that smell like earth.

मेरी बात- दोस्ती की

  छुटपन की दोस्ती भी क्या थी। खेल कूद ही  परम सत्य लगता था। दोस्ती में स्नेह और हमेशा साथ साथ रहने का  मन करता। ऐसा सभी बच्चों को महसूस होता। मुझे  भी अपनी पड़ोस की सहेलियों के साथ घर घर खेलना  बख़ूबी याद है। जब खाना खाने के लिए मम्मी बुलाती, तो मन में आता कि सहेलियों के साथ ही खाना क्यु नहीं खा सकती? कई बार खेल खेल में बात बात में बात निकल जाती। यही कि हम अगली छुट्टियों में dance का prog रखते हैं। कोई कहता कि मुझे किताब पढ़ना  अच्छा लगता है, कैसा हो कि हम सब मिलकर कोई library चलें। जब लंबी छुट्टियाँ मिलती तब तो सुबह से शाम तक के back to back कई प्रकार  की  मौज मस्ती  की बातें, खेल, भागा दौड़ी चलती रहती। ऐसा दोस्ताना उस समय कई जन्मों का साथ से कम नहीं लगता था। तू तड़ाक करना, धक्का-मुक्की, जीभ चीड़ाना और ऐसी अन्य चीजें दोस्ती की catagory में हमेशा से रही हैं।   हमारे बचपन में गाली गलोच की भाषा आम  नहीं थी। जैसे जैसे  उम्र बढ़ी दोस्त बदले। कुछ आए, कुछ गए। कुछ पता ही नहीं चला कि ये कैसे हुआ। मेल मिलाप का तरीका भी कुछ कुछ बद...
